Worried that I may end up spending a whole year writing songs bemoaning the current state of our planet and its politics, I have decided to return to a project which I began back in the 1980s. Whilst quite poorly and unable to work for many months I wrote the lyrics for a musical based on Tess of the d’Urbervilles. I am going to focus on this for a while. It may turn into a musical or perhaps a progressive folk/rock concept album or probably a collection of half finished ideas. Let’s see where the threads of fate lead me. Here is the first step on the journey.
