I’ve not been writing much new stuff lately but I have been reworking some of my older songs for live performance. In 2021 I was challenged through the Song a Week group to write a song based on the prompt ‘famous last words’. I chose Issac Newton’s and wrote a lyric which is a mash up of phrases in those last words. By definition it is a song about dying but more importantly about acknowledging that our lives are too short to discover all there is to know. Performed with Peter May 2024.
