I read a BBC news article about a young disabled man. “Robert and Trude mourned what they thought had been a lonely and isolated life for their disabled son. But when Mats died, they discovered that people all over Europe lit candles in his memory.”
This song was originally written and recorded in 2019. As I had a difficult week, health wise, I revisited this song instead of writing something new. I recorded a stripped back version with just piano. Pretty much as I would have composed it. I then remastered the original to try and improve the sound. Here are both versions with a new lyric video.
